Description
Snakes of Wrath
2 Players | Ages 8+ | 15-30 Minutes
Snakes of Wrath pits two players against each other in a short, vicious contest of placement and prediction. Each player holds seven randomly drawn, double‑sided tiles and uses them to grow serpents from open heads, set traps, injure opponents, or attempt daring steals. Turns are quick: place a tile to extend a snake in your color, start a new snake, play an injury tile to cripple an enemy segment, or connect to an opponent’s snake to try and claim it. Because many tiles flip or trigger chain reactions, a single well‑timed play can reverse control of an entire serpent — making both careful planning and opportunistic aggression equally valuable.
The game emphasizes tactical interaction and hand management rather than long setup or bookkeeping. Players must think several moves ahead, anticipate where opponents will lay tiles, and decide when to press an attack versus safely closing off their own snake ends. Rounds last about 15–30 minutes and the age‑friendly design (8+) makes it suitable for families as well as competitive two‑player sessions. Victory is achieved by closing all snake ends and emerging with the most or largest snakes when scoring is resolved; specific scoring details depend on the chosen rule variant. Components typically include the double‑sided tile set, a short rulebook, and optional scoring aids.
