The Planter & Children Logging Co. is a fictional small railroad built to haul felled timber from remote clearings to the local sawmill, and to ferry crews and tools into the forest. This charming set captures a slice of rural industrial life: a weathered 0‑4‑0 steam loco, a generator flat, a log wagon heaped with freshly felled trunks, and a worn “bobber” caboose that doubles as crew quarters and a sapling store for replanting.

The build evokes late‑19th / early‑20th‑century logging operations, focusing on character, playability and photographic detail rather than exact prototype fidelity. The protagonist engine, “Toto,” is an elder workhorse from the 1890s — small, rugged, and lovingly maintained despite its age.
