• Plant a 3×3 rectangle of Guardian Tree cards in your Forest
• Ensure your cards of the current season are only on your recruitment line
• Collect 7 Fire tokens
• Move the Onibi creature to your opponent’s side by acquiring the Onibi card

The game progresses through alternating turns, where players choose from several strategic options to outplay their opponent and claim dominance over the forest.

Gameplay Mechanics: Turn-by-Turn Strategy

On each turn, players can:

• Draw a Guardian Animal Card
  Draw from the shared pile and place it face up on one of three help lines:
  • Shared help line if neutral
  • Your help line if matching your season
  • Opponent’s help line if matching their season
• Use an Action Token
  Place an Action token on a card to select a specific element for your next move, counting visible elements from the start of the help line or from the last Action token.

Key Actions to Achieve Victory

• Recruit Guardian Animals to bolster your forest
• Extinguish fires by collecting Fire tokens
• Plant protective trees in your sacred space
• Advance the Onibi creature toward your opponent’s side

Turn End and Fire Dynamics

Once both Summer and Winter have exhausted their 2 Action tokens, tally the fire tokens in the clearing—each with a value based on their location—and compare it with your Water values. If the fire value exceeds your Water, you add a season-specific Fire Varan card to the discard pile and place a fire token on adjacent cards to the Onibi standee. Then, clear the line and reset your Action tokens to continue the strategic duel.
