What is the Game of Lorcana?
One of the most anticipated new trading card games similar to the likes of Yu-Gi-Oh! and Magic the Gathering, you’ll take on the role of an ‘illumineer’ summoning a team of Disney characters, who’ll appear in both familiar and fantastical ways.
The story behind the Disney Lorcana card game begins in the Great Illuminary within a magical realm called Lorcana. Surrounded by story stars that each contain a fragment of a Disney story, you must use a special tool called an ‘inkcaster’ to combine these fragments an create a version of a Disney character, known as a glimmer. Then you’ll use strategy, along with your characters’ abilities, magical objects and songs to collect ‘lore’ which protect your realm against threats. The first player to 20 lore wins. Currently available in store and online, you can now purchase:
- Starter Decks – Each includes a ready-to-play game deck of 60 cards, as well as quick start rules, 11 game tokens, and a randomised booster pack.
- Booster Packs – Each booster pack comes with 12 game cards, including one foil card and two cards with rarities of rare, super rare, or legendary.
- Booster Boxes – Each booster box contains 24 booster packs.
