Overview: The Norse return on an expanded map of England. In this second edition a great heathen host lands not simply to raid but to settle and seize territory. Players command either the invading Vikings—waves of Norsemen and berserkers—or the defending English—Housecarls (king’s troops), Thegns (regional nobles) and Fyrd (local levies). The English start controlling the country, but repeated Viking landings bring fresh forces and the threat of conquest. Play head‑to‑head or team up (English Thegn + Housecarl vs Viking Norsemen + Berserkers) as you contest cities and shires across the realm.
