ANTS
2–4 players | Ages 13+ | 90 minutes
Lead a growing ant colony through cycles of digging, exploring, gathering and conquest to dominate the garden ecosystem. Each player commands a unique Queen tile that shapes strategy as you expand your nest, reveal hex territories, build supply chains and produce new ants through incubation.
How it plays (brief)
- On your turn choose one main action: Dig, Explore, Gather, Incubate, Play Cards or Defeat Enemies; complementary free actions help optimise your turns.
- Commit specialised ants (1–4) to determine an action’s strength; wild ants act as flexible wildcards.
- Incubation advances eggs→larvae→ants, triggers production, feeds brood and unlocks specialisations (diggers, explorers, gatherers).
- Build your nest by placing room tiles to complete areas and score stars; explore the garden to reveal resources, enemies and pheromone effects; deploy gatherers to form automatic supply chains.
- Multiple victory paths: nest architecture (stars), territorial control, population growth, tactical card play or enemy conquest.
