2-5 Players | 20-30 Mins | Ages 7+
A light, fast card game for 2–5 players where players compete to collect the most valuable animal meeples through commodity-speculation-style card play; the deck contains five animal colors with cards numbered 0–5, players alternately play a card and claim any available animal meeple, and when all six cards of a color are played the game ends and the last card played in each color determines each meeple’s value — the highest total wins. Designed by Reiner Knizia, the game emphasizes hand management, open drafting, and stock-holding mechanics, features animal fur-pattern cards and five animal meeples, and earned recognition as a 2003 Japan Boardgame Prize Best Foreign Game for Beginners nominee, a 1996 Meeples Choice Award nominee, and a 1994 Fairplay À la carte runner-up.
