Description
Pick-up sticks comes in a sturdy cardboard tube and includes wooden sticks, one marked as the ‘Mikado’ master stick with a blue spiral pattern. To play, drop all sticks into a random pile and take turns removing them without moving any others — if you disturb the pile, the next player takes over. Players may keep removing sticks on their turn until all are taken; the player who first retrieves the blue-twirled Mikado may use it as an aid. After collection, score by counting 1 point per stick or by using the scoring table: 3 points for red-and-blue, 5 points for blue-red-blue, 10 points for red-yellow-blue, and 20 points for red-blue-red-blue-red. The highest total wins. For an added challenge, play using only one hand. Recommended age 3+. Box size: 21 x 5.5 cm. Stick size: 18 cm × 3 mm. Materials: wood, cardboard, paper.
