Step into a colourful world of tanuki, geishas, ninjas and rival gardeners battling to grow the most bountiful bamboo plot. Tanuki is a fast, take‑that card game where timing, sabotage and clever plays decide who harvests the most bamboo. Play Action cards to disrupt opponents or Character cards to boost your garden’s efficiency, then harvest bamboo and race to outscore the rest.

How to play:

• Start with three cards in hand. On your turn play one card, resolve its effect, then draw back up.
• Action cards trigger immediate effects — steal, destroy or otherwise interfere with rivals.
• Character cards are added to your garden and provide ongoing abilities that help you harvest more bamboo.
• The game ends when all players have only one card left in hand; highest bamboo total wins.
