Schadenfreude

Schadenfreude is a sharp, twisty trick‑taking game where you’re rewarded for playing the second‑highest card into each trick — not the highest. Avoid collecting duplicates of the same rank (they get discarded), manage timing and tempo, and try to keep your meeple on the board: once a player exceeds 40 points their meeple “falls” and they’re out, leaving the next‑best scorer the winner. Quick rounds, tense choices and surprising reversals make this an elegant, social dexterity of timing and risk.
